Hi!

Welcome to my DIY audio forum. The forum SW has been reset and unfortunately there were some problems with backup files so a few posts were lost, nothing important though.

Dear All,

I would like to build QRP01 or maybe QRP02 but I have some questions;

Does it have a good effect to the sound quality (channel seperation or SN ratio...)  to build QRP1 with left and right channels seperately (with seperate grounds) with two pcb? From this point of view, Does QRP2 have a better sound quality?

I would like to use LM3886 in stereo single IC mode (not bridged mono) because of the cost and 68W per channel is enough for me.

Is there any difference with LM3886T and LM38836TF except heat transfer property?

Your thoughts are important for me :-)

The difference between my QRP01 and QRP02 is small but building a dual mono amp is always better. If you can handle SMD parts I'll recommend the QRP02.

The TF package is sufficient for normal home usage. Please consult the datasheet for LM3886 and the application note AN-1192 if you want more info about the T vs. TF package.
