Hi!

Welcome to my DIY audio forum. The forum SW has been reset and unfortunately there were some problems with backup files so a few posts were lost, nothing important though.

I am looking to use a UBC01 for single ended balanced conversion off of my signal generator into various audio projects. The board will be in its own box powered by an external supply consisting of SSR01 boards via a 5-pin connector that brings out the force and sense connections. Which version (discrete, IC, or none) of the regulator should I use? How should I configure the sense connections?

I'll recommend that you have the SSR01 and SSR02 in the same box as the UBC01 but in general the sense inputs should be connected  to the load where you can sense the voltage. Notice that you must have a negative voltage also and for this you can use the SSR02 or an another SSR01 if you have two separate windings of your transformer.

Thanks. The power supply will be used for a number of different projects, so it will have to be remote. With that being said, how should I populate the regulator section?

It's not a good idea to have an external PS for several loads, mostly because it's easy to get ground loops and hum but if it works, then you'll have no problem.

Well, the loads won't be operating at the same time.

I'm still not sure how I should populate the UBC01 board.

If you have max +- 15 volts you don't have to mount any regulators.
