Title: QSXM2 balance output
Post by: gianluca on August 30, 2007, 04:33:32 PM
Ciao Belli!

During my holidays I terminated my pre-phono (2xQSXPS+QSXM2). I'm
really-really happy and satisfied of the sound!

But someone know if is it possible to have a balance output (XLR) from the QSXM2?

It's possible.

1 Use a transformer

2 Use a balanced driver (IC)

3 Build a balanced driver

Can you help me to build a balanced driver?

Check the datasheet of DRV134
http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/drv134.html

You can also use those keywords when you'll use Google: "Audio Balanced Line Driver"

Great!

Do you think that two DRV134 with four 1mF electrolytic capacitors to the pins 5 and 6 will be enough? (like in figure 1, Basic connections) or I'll need some others components?

1 uF is a good start but you'll a good stabilized voltage.
