Hi P-A,
I would like to use a JSR03 or SSR01 module as "pre-regulator" for a DAC where I have 5 local regulators mounted (4 x 3.3V shunts and a 1.2V series, all from Paul Hynes). My estimated current draw is 4 x 150 mA (for the shunts) and < 100 mA for the series reg.
I.e. around 700 mA in total (@6V).
Are your regs rated for this load?
Thanks,
Nic
Up to approx. 1 A is not a problem. It should work with possibly some minor adjustment.
What minor adjustment? I guess I have to dissipate a bit of heat but besides that?
Thank for the realtime help.
Nic

A possible adjustment would be to increse the LM317 voltage from 2.5 volts to a bit more. An another would be to increase the max base current from the current regulator which now is set to 10 mA.
