- After the first power on I had +14.5v on both output. I discovered that I mounted led at DZ1 in wrong direction, I did the correct and I had led lit on but with an output value of 3.45v and 7.20v instead of +5 and +9v
- I saw after that I forgot J1 & J2, I did the solder of J1 and J2 for both JSR03. Now I have +3.38v and 5.0v instead of +5 and +9v. The JSR03 +9v generate +5v.

A question for JSR03 +5v, does a strap is needed at R10?
Thx for your help

Can you measure the input voltage and the voltages an pin 2, 3, 6 and 7 at the opamp?

Thx for your help :-)
I did the measure, results are below, for AOP I did it between output GND and each pin.

JSR03 +5v:
Vin = +17.08v
Vaop2= not measurable, when I try to do the measure leds switch off, as soon as I remove probe from pin 2 leds switch on  :-o :roll:
Vaop3= +2.50v
Vaop6= +1.21v
Vaop7= +5.73v
Vout= +3.40v

JSR03 +9v:
Vin = +16.72v
Vaop2= +2.50v
Vaop3= +2.50v
Vaop6= +2.85v
Vaop7= +4.75v
Vout= +5.00v

I go over your BOM and my BOM (that was took from HCFR forum where a guy who did the same project than me gave information). For JSR03 +5v I saw that in your BOM R10 = jumper when in mine there is nothing for R10. I did the add of this jumper and now results are:

JSR03 +5v:
Vin = +16.90v
Vaop2= +2.50v
Vaop3= +2.50v
Vaop6= +2.86v
Vaop7= +7.26v
Vout= +5.00v

So JSR03 +5v is now working properly, I followed a wrong BOM, sorry :oops:.

I did the same check for JSR03 +9V, differences with mine are:
- R4 = 10k in your BOM (I have a 10k in my tools box)
- R5 = 3k9 in you BOM (I have a 3k92 in my tools box)
- R11 = nothing
- R12 = 47r
I will do the modification this morning and will keep you posted :wink:

I'll suggest that you doubleckeck your work with my BOM. The reference voltage for the 9 V version is wrong. Should be 4.5 volts. You have now 2.5 V. The LM431 seems to be without feedback.

Thx, I will do a full check today. Question does trial can have destroy LM431 or other stuff?

A small question, I need to perform a check versus your last BOM available on your website? (uploaded on July 4th)

Probably not. Reversed polarity is more harmful.

I'll recommend that. Do you use AD825?

Yes it's a AD825.

This morning I did change of resistors as said in previous email, results led lit on and after few 1-2 seconds emit off.

I did a stupid think is to move R12 to R11 and put for R5 a 12k, results fuse of main board fused, it a 315ma temp. Do you think any transistor aop was destroyed during this test? Do I need to remplace LM431? I will do a full check this afternoon, put compoment according to your BOM.

I need to go to buy some fuse, as I have no more fuse, I planned to buy new LM431, BC560C, LM317T, D44H11 as they are chip. Do you think , I need also to take a new AD825 which is more expensive?

Thx for your help :wink:

peranders

Blown fuse indicates a more serious error. I could imagine that the transistor connected to the opamp may be broken.

Hi,
I did a full check according to you BOM? I have put R4 = 10k, R5= 12k, R11 = nothing, R12 = 47r, now I have 9.10v at the output, so working well. Unless the blow of a fuse, transistors was not destroyed.
Just a comment in your Excel sheet on your website there is still 3k9 for R5 and 9v, I find the right value according to a recent post :wink:.
