Regarding QRV07
« on: June 15, 2010, 09:19:33 AM »
As quoted in The schematics section:
"..... This IC is designed to be used with low impedance signal sources ....."
If in case the source is not a line out, but a headphone out such as a MP3 player, will that let the signal direct inout to TPA6120 better then via the buffer?

Headphone out is typical 100 ohms and is "low" in this context.

Better with buffer? Can't tell really.

Maybe I add a selector, with buffer for line level in via RCA socket, withoput buffer, direct feed to TPA6120, as headphone in with a 3.5mm socket.

Notice that the input currents of the TPA6120 is around 12 uA and this may create offsets (clicks and thumps in the earphone) if the input is DC coupled.

For BR1/BR2, did MB6S work fine? I can't find DSF04 or any SMD type rectifier except MB6S
