Hi!

Welcome to my DIY audio forum. The forum SW has been reset and unfortunately there were some problems with backup files so a few posts were lost, nothing important though.

I'm not shure of the normality of the hottest of the four battery of transistors T31-T33-T35, T32-T34-T36 (the same for the V of the right channel) on my QSXM2.

Someone can answer me?!

Those transistors runs in class A and will become rather hot. Nothing to worry about.

Due to heat, should I use normal type transistor rather then SMD type?

peranders

I haven't tested SOT23's but I'm pretty sure they will work despite the heat but if you already have the BC5xx use them.

I have ordered both BC5xx and BC8xx?maybe I test the BC8xx first, since SMD type is always more easy to desolder then through hole type.

By the way, as being the final output pair, I should suppose do the same on T55/T56, right?
