Hi PA,
We had a little conversation via mail. On your request I opened this topic.
The following is the case:
I have a 2 x 25V 500VA toroid transformer hooked up to the power supply.
Secondary 1 on AC 1 and secondary 2 on AC 2. The output between NEG and POS supply is now 68VDC.
I need to have half that voltage to run my Hiraga amp. So what do I do?
Do I need to put the toroid in parallel, so the current doubles? And how do I connect it? If I do that and feed AC1 and AC2, the fuse blows out of 8 amps.... Do I only feed AC1 or AC2?
Please let me know....
Kind regards,
Sjoerd Smits
You have in other words ± 34 Volts. How much do you require? You can't get lower voltage than this.
Hi PA,
I need +/- 35 VDC for the Hiraga amp.....
Then it's perfect!
Hi,
I think I need a crash course in elektronics....
How do I connect the amps????
Between POS and ground????? I thougt between NEG and POS?????
Regards,
Sjoerd Smits
You connect the amp between, NEG, GND and POS. Don't you have any documentation of the amp design?
Ow my god (Slamming with my head against the door) I get it..... Soory to take up your time..... I'm new at this so please forgive me :-)
+35 NEG -35
No problems!!!!
Thanks again!
